1. Data We Collect

TrustMetric collects professional and client data necessary to provide trust, estate, and tax calculation services. This includes your name, email address, professional information, and client data you enter into the platform (such as client names, financial details, and Social Insurance Numbers). We collect only the minimum data required to perform your requested calculations and maintain your account.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the TrustMetric platform services: running calculations, generating reports, and managing client records. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your data or your clients' data. Any anonymized or de-identified data used for platform improvements is stripped of all identifiers to a state where re-identification is not possible. All data is stored exclusively on servers located within Canada (AWS Canada-Central) and is not transferred outside of Canada.

3. Your Rights Under PIPEDA and Law 25

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Law 25, you have the right to: (a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate information; (c) withdraw consent and request deletion of your data; (d) file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@trust-metric.ca. Data deletion requests will be processed within 30 days.

4. Data Sovereignty & Residency

All personal information and client data processed by TrustMetric is stored exclusively on servers located within the borders of Canada (AWS Canada-Central). We do not transfer, store, or process any data in jurisdictions outside of Canada, ensuring your records remain outside the reach of the U.S. CLOUD Act and subject only to Canadian jurisdiction.

5. Designated Privacy Officer

In compliance with Quebec Law 25 and PIPEDA, TrustMetric has appointed a Privacy Officer. You may contact our Privacy Officer regarding data access, corrections, deletion requests, or complaints.
